Blue Honey's Guiding Principles
RESPECT
PRESERVE THE SAFETY OF OTHERS
COMMUNICATION IS PARAMOUNT
APPRECIATE THE OPINIONS AND EXPERIENCES OF OTHERS
Preserving the safety of others will not be compromised and involves prioritizing the physical and emotional health of the people you associate with. Have each other’s backs.
I’m a brilliant idiot. Just like my knowledge, experience, and intuition, my ignorance is both deep and wide-ranging. I know a lot, trust my sub-conscious, and am right most of the time. I owe that to being willing to be wrong, as I often am. That’s one of the ways I learn, and I like to learn fast, and I hope to never stop.
Another way I learn is from listening to the opinions and experiences of anyone willing to share. Listening to others is the most pain-free way to learn, so please do it with an open mind and an effort to understand.
It bears repeating: Communication requires a message and an audience. I do not have a shortage of messages. What I need is an audience.
That starts internally. If you don’t read and respond to messages, you hurt the mission and will not be a part of my journey. If you need a break, communicate that. I will be your audience anytime you have the courage to speak.
Respect should extend to all matters: people, places, and things; big and small; internal and external. From a place of respect, our other principles follow:
HONESTY AND FAIR DEALING
